
Judy a renowned embroiderer dedicated most of her extraordinary life to capturing the essence of the Australian natural environment in her magical and life like embroidery of native Australian birds and their native habitats – the Australian landscape.
A pioneer of the East Kimberly Ord River Scheme in Western Australia, Judy a mother of two daughters and wife to Christopher worked as a registered nurse and midwife in her early years. Upon starting a family Judy began creative journey which included a significant contribution to community and the arts and craft industry in Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
Judy was a generous tutor of embroidery, offering highly sort after workshops. Judy’s embroideries are held in diplomatic, corporate and private collections around the world including the Smithsonian.
Judy's passing in 2023 saw her family committed to continuing her rich legacy through continuing to bring her work to life and supporting Australian Art and craft in regional Australia.

Judy’s awards and achievements are numerous and include being a Churchill Fellow, achieving a Diploma in Design and Proficiency Certificate from the NSW Embroiderers Guild and winning the National Australian Society of Miniature Art Award in 2013.
